Data Science Engineer

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a passionate and driven founding Data Science Engineer to join our dynamic Product & Tech team. You will play a critical role in building ETL pipelines, analyzing complex datasets, and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize our manufacturing processes. **Responsibilities**:

- **Lead Cross-Functional Teams**: Collaborate with diverse teams to identify data science opportunities and develop solutions for business challenges.
- **Design and Build Data Pipelines**: Ensure data availability, accuracy, and quality for analysis and modeling by managing data. Reorganize and optimize ETL pipeline code for better management and scalability. Manage dispersed data repositories across multiple databases, proposing and implementing efficient database management solutions to handle increasing data volumes. Automate ETL workflows for seamless data processing.
- **Data Preparation**: Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering to prepare data for analysis.
- **Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data science processes, models, and algorithms to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
- **Communicate Insights**: Present insights and findings to stakeholders through clear, concise visualizations and reports. Lead the transition from Python-based dashboards to BI low-code platforms.
- **Support Business Objectives**: Build predictive models, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to support business goals.

**Job Requirements**
- **Experience**: 2+ years in data science, data analysis, or data engineering roles, ideally involved in building ground-up solutions.
- **Project Management**: Experience in building and managing structured projects, including the development and implementation of standardized processes and methodologies. Skilled at **working independently** to identify gaps in data collection and analysis workflows, taking the initiative to develop and implement effective solutions.
- **Programming Skills**: Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI/Flask with the ability to write clean, efficient and testable code. Version control with Git and GitHub.
- **Data Engineering**: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL Databases and schema design. Experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines and using data warehousing tools like PowerBI.
- **Data Visualization**: Experienced in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Python data-oriented libraries such as Streamlit and Matplotlib to create compelling visual representations of data.
- **Problem-Solving**: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- **Communication**: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

**Preferred (but not required)**
- **Leadership Experience**:Previous experience in a leadership role or a desire to grow into a leadership position.
- **Industry Experience**:Experience in the manufacturing industry or a related field.
- **Cloud Platforms**:Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- **AI and Machine Learning**:Experience with AI and machine learning techniques.

Pay: $5,000.00 - $6,500.00 per month
