Senior Application Engineer

**Job Summary**

This role is for Pumps Aftermarket Sales activities in the region. Aftermarket Applications Engineer is required to provide support and assistance to the aftermarket department in the creation of quotations, entry of orders and control of vital data and statistics to enable the business unit to maintain accurate base data for End Market installed equipment.

The role will include working as part of a busy Aftermarket Sales Team, covering all aspects of sales functions from creation and submission of quotations for service, repair, and spares, through to the timely entry of various orders to meet with client’s requirements.

In addition, the role will require the preparation of weekly forecast reports and cover for the creation of the weekly sales report and submission to Department Manager.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**
- Development of aftermarket Pump quotes in APAC region by coordinating with facilities and business functions like Engineering, Global tendering teams and facility supply chain.
- Ensure quotes are delivered in a high quality, timely fashion in support of the ITO (Inquiry to Order) Tendering Policy & Procedure.
- Manage multiple concurrent quotes throughout the project cycle.
- Maintain close communication with channel partners to ensure clear understanding of client requirement and factory offering.
- Follow up on quotes submitted to Channel partners and ensure closure of order.
- Liaise with the commercial team on customer needs, scope, and timing
- Provides support to regional sales teams for win order strategies to ensure all activities occur on time and with high quality from quote receipt to handover.
- An element of travel may be required to support customer visits during clarification/negotiation stages

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Proficient in English language - both written and verbal
- Spoken language such as Malay or Mandarin will be an added advantage
- Excellent communicator to bring common purpose to tasks and strategies
- Competence in Microsoft Office packages - Excel, Word, PowerPoint are prerequisites
- Organized, be able to manage multiple tasks professionally
- Good time manager, sets and meets deadlines and objectives
- Able to work in a fast-paced working environments

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering or related field or commensurate experience in a Commercial/Tendering organization required
- 3 to 5 years’ experience of the market sector (preferable Oil & Gas / Power )
- 3 to 5 years’ experience of the centrifugal pump industry
- In-depth knowledge and experience in reviewing highly detailed specifications and writing comprehensive and accurate bids
- Able to Travel (Domestic and International 10 - 15%) as and when required
