IT Business Intelligence Analyst

As an IT Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) in Information Technology, you will work with cross functional teams to create analytic capabilities, providing decision makers with actionable business intelligence. You will partner closely with Business and IT functional teams to understand business processes, learn the data, and craft solutions to solve problems. You will work with architects and engineers to model data that can deliver answers to business questions and fit within a strategic direction for architecture. You will have the opportunity to work on strategic BI initiatives that are driven from Micron's business strategy and have an immediate impact on customers.

This position requires cross functional coordination, outstanding communication skills, creative problem solving and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude to manage a variety of responsibilities and deliverables. Responsibilities and Tasks

Business Facing duties:

- Responsible for understanding the desired business outcomes, technical platforms, and data management and data warehousing techniques in order to design and provide detailed technical data warehouse requirements for the delivery of business solutions.
- Work with business partners to understand solutions, define functional requirements, and confirm the delivered solutions meet business requirements.
- Perform impact analysis and gap analysis to create data flow diagrams and mapping documents supporting key business processes and information capabilities.
- Work with end users to leverage appropriate BI techniques and tools.
- Assist in the User Acceptance Testing. Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Training end users on new reports and dashboards. Works with users to understand data needs to deliver insights, visualizations via Reports. Dashboards, and/or other analytic solutions.
- Project-based collaboration with leaders where most needed for high-impact results and long-term growth.

Technical Duties:

- Perform data analysis and profiling using query and other techniques to prototype and prepare technical requirements.
- Document requirements to be provided to technical Engineering Teams to build and deliver business requirements.
- Work with the Development Teams to clarify and validate business requirements.
- Utilize knowledge with data management and query skills to facilitate data profiling, testing and validation.
- Responsible for delivering the desired outcomes by utilizing business process and data understanding.
- Analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations based on user request.
- Collect, analyze, and connect large volumes of data from disparate sources, extract insights, and identify opportunities to leverage appropriate BI techniques and tools in solutioning.
- Communicate recommendations on initiatives and influence leaders through data, analytics, and thoughtful interpretation of findings.
- Designs, codes, and tests new Business Intelligence solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Troubleshoot existing Business Intelligence solutions in a maintenance capacity.
