ULI Singapore is seeking to recruit a full time Senior Manager to lead ULI’s continuous growth and development in Singapore. Based in Singapore, this exciting and pivotal role is a great opportunity for someone with ambition, enthusiasm and a hands-on and can-do attitude who has senior management experience and a track record of delivering strategic targets.

ULI is one of the world's most respected and diverse organisations in the field of development, land use, and urban planning. Established in 1936, the Urban Land Institute is a not for profit education and research body with over 45,000 members across the globe, more than 3,000 in APAC. The mission of ULI is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide.

ULI Singapore has currently over 570 members from the private and public sectors representing all disciplines within the public and private real estate industry. It is governed by an Executive Committee consisting of senior industry representatives, led by a Chair, who volunteer their time to deliver events and programming specific to Singapore. ULI Singapore has the following committees, governing bodies and key programmes in place:

- Executive Committee
- Local Product Councils
- Women’s Leadership Initiative that helps to raise the number and visibility of women leaders throughout ULI Singapore
- A Young Leaders Committee that focuses on programming for younger professionals
- UrbanPlan
- Annual Conference: attracting 200 industry professionals from Singapore

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Strategic Leadership_
- Plan and assist in executing the strategies for growing ULI’s brand, program of work, membership, sponsorship, events, and community outreach in Singapore.
- Work with ULI Singapore leadership and APAC staff team to implement ULI Singapore’s strategic plan to define priorities, program objectives and outcomes as well as methods to measure success in achieving said objectives and outcomes.
- Governance and Leadership Support_
- Oversee the operations of ULI Singapore with the input and support of the local council chair and executive committee. Organize committee meetings and other activities to facilitate succession planning for leadership posts in accordance with the local council governance.
- Develop relationships with chair and members, as well as staff, to build the capacity and improve performance of the local council.
- Raise awareness of the council’s performance in Asia Pacific with senior members, the ULI APAC Executive Committee, and trustees.
- Programming and Mission Support_
- Plan and deliver ULI Singapore’s program of work, including but not limited to:

- Programs and events that align with ULI mission for members in Singapore, as prioritized by ULI Singapore Executive Committee
- Member network: Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), Young Leaders Group (YLG), NEXT, and Product Councils)
- Local Technical Advisory Panels (TAPs)
- UrbanPlan
- Proactively develop content relevant for the members and the wider land use and real estate industries in Singapore and beyond to constructively impact local and regional development issues and land use policies.
- Develop and maintain key external strategic alliances with other local professional associations, academic institutions, the public sector, and nonprofit organizations.
- Membership and Sponsorship_
- Actively support the ULI Singapore Executive Committee to manage the sponsor recruitment and retention program.
- In partnership with the APAC staff team, develop and execute a comprehensive membership program to retain existing members, increase the number of new members and encourage upgraded memberships, by making ULI Singapore’s membership relevant to the needs of prospective members.
- In partnership with the APAC staff team, cultivate new corporate members and sponsors for the Asia Pacific region.
- Finance, Marketing, Operations_
- Develop and deliver the budget, and manage the finances of the local council in consultation with CEO of ULI Asia Pacific and ULI Singapore Chair.
- Direct and execute the operations of the local council, including logistics, sourcing, and supervision of any third-party contractors and partners.
- Develop and execute a marketing and communication strategy for ULI Singapore with support from APAC marketing and communications staff.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Essential_
- 8+ years of work experience in the private, government, or non-profit sectors. Experience with Asia Pacific real estate and/or urban planning industries will be an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial and creative management executive who is adept on the strategic as well as the practical day-to-day issues.
