As Technician you’ll assist the Shift Engineer or Chief Engineer in managing the engineering/maintenance of your hotel and ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members. You’ll become a master in your duties and be comfortable in any repairing or maintenance works. Motivating and training your team with the skills to keep hotels always looking their best.

Ideally, you have worked as building technician for at least 2 years. You are willing to work rotating shift hours, including night shifts. You should also posses a professional certification on Building Maintenance.

**What is the Job About?**
- Assist the Shift Engineer with the design of a preventative maintenance program
- Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direction of the Shift Engineer/Chief Engineer
- Respond to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day
- Liaise directly with departments regarding the completion of work orders and prioritize in order of guest satisfaction
- Carry out any minor repairs to guest rooms or public areas
- Daily inspection and rectification of all public areas in relation to your trade
- Complete work orders as requested by the Shift Engineer or Chief Engineer in relation to your trade and other directives to meet customer requirements
- Ensure all rooms and appliances are working
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
- Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
