TEAM DESCRIPTION

SABRE'S APAC TAX TEAM IS LOOKING FOR A TALENTED SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT (APAC).

The Sabre APAC tax team is located at Sabre's APAC Head Office in Singapore and has responsibility for tax planning and compliance in some 10 countries across the APAC region as well as providing information to the US tax team for group reporting requirements. The team reports to the Tax Director (EMEA and APAC) in London, UK who reports to the Vice-President of Tax in Southlake, Texas, USA. A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Tax Accountant (APAC) to report to the APAC Tax Manager, based in the APAC Head Office in Singapore.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Operating the corporate income tax and withholding tax compliance processes and Country by Country Reporting processes by supporting and enabling the provision of information to our external advisers and reviewing the returns prepared those external advisers.- Liaising with external advisers and accounting colleagues to support preparation of local accounts tax disclosures.- Managing tax payment process for APAC entities including initiating payment requests and supporting cash tax forecasting and reporting;- Supporting cross border tax issues such as transfer pricing, treaty clearances and withholding taxes- Assist with tax audits, tax appeals and tax litigations - working with local accountants and tax advisors, dealing with communications and minimizing further queries.- Support quarterly group provision process as required.- Support the ongoing multi year project to modernize the SAP, Coupa etc.- Support ad hoc projects and research as assigned by the APAC Tax Manager

Must Have Skills:
- Possess a minimum degree in business or finance or accounting.- Fully Qualified member of professional bodies having completed the relevant examination such as Institute of the Singapore Chartered Accountant or Singapore Chartered Tax Professional or equivalent.- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in tax, either in practice (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) or industry (MNC).- Excellent software skills, especially Excel- Fluent in English, additional languages welcome.- Can multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines, with attention to detail;- Can build relationships and trust within the organization with tax, accounting, legal and business colleagues;- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate tax issues to non-tax people;

Nice to Have Skills:
- Big 4 tax experience.- Experience in Singapore and international taxes either in practice or in-house.- Experience with HFM Smartview and SAP;- Experience with Onesource Tax Provision
