**What the role is**
- Deputy Director (Gas System Infrastructure Branch)

**What you will be working on**
- You will be leading a team that drives the development of gas infrastructure (both natural gas and town gas) to safeguard Singapore's medium to long-term energy security and support economic growth. The scope of work includes: - Overseeing the planning and timely implementation of infrastructure augmentation and renewal projects within the gas supply system to ensure the adequate, realiable and secure supply of natural gas and town gas to consumers in Singapore. - Leading the coordination and liaison with various land-planning agencies to safeguard the gas system's near-to-long term land needs (which comprises the LNG Terminal, Onshore - Receiving Facilities, Gas Transmission and Distrubution Networks), and conduct feasibility studies where required. Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders in the management/optimisation of existing gas infrastructure and the implementation of new/novel infrastructure solutions to facilitate Singapore's energy transition towards a low carbon energy future. As a Branch Head, you will be responsible for: - Leading and providing guidance to the development of infrastructure strategies and plans to ensure that they are robust, coherent and well-articulated. - Overseeing and managing the overall performance of the branch. This includes planning work processes, allocating resources and monitoring implementation to fulfil the branch's goals efficiently and effectively. - Coaching and motivating the staff, and developing the team's capabilities in gas systems planning and development.

**What we are looking for**
- Education in Engineering and/or at least 8 years of relevant experience. - Experience in leading teams, project management and/or in the gas industry would be an advantage. - Good analytical, coordination and communication (written and verbal) skills are critical for this position. - The ability to work under tight timelines and to manage and engage with multiple stakeholders is essential for the position. - Committed team player, with a strong interest to shape the future of Singapore's energy landscape.
