Technical Manager

**Job Purpose**:
To lead, educate/train and oversee technical teams, ensuring the successful planning, implementation, and completion of projects. This role involves coordination with various stakeholders, managing resources, providing technical expertise, and ensuring that projects align with organizational goals. The technical manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of technical performance, meeting project deadlines, and contributing to the overall success of the organization technical initiatives.
**Duties include**:
- Supervise the whole MTS operations in MCS to contribute for SL department objectives (budget and new opportunities).
- Safety and effective operation of the laboratory in science park office.
- Continuous awareness campaign of SL for the future opportunities.
- Promote the collaboration with every kind organization.
- SEA Market research and transmit the information especially related with circular economy to share within the company.
- Grasp the needs in the market and feed back to R&D team in Japan HQ.
- Act as a liaison to SL department of Japan HQ.
- Maintain and enhance the relationship with the customers to contribute the vertical start-up of the new capacity.
- Train the national staffs and develop the local talents.
- Appropriate appraisal to the local staff.
- Support to MCS operation and company event.
- Report and communicate with supervisors and HQ (Japan). Possess strong understanding on the internal workflow and communication channel of HQ (Japan) in order to takeover existing customer and build up of new customer network within short period of time.Other duties as and when assigned by the General Manager and/or top management.
**Requirement**
- Bachelor or master degree in a relevant technical field such as engineering for polymers or related discipline.
- 5-7 years technical expertise in specific technical domain relevant to the role.
- 5 years’ experience in handling EVOH.
- Able to run various type of packaging machines.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Strong problem solving skill to address technical challenges and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Ability to align technical initiatives with organizational goals and contribute overall business strategy.
- Identifying and managing technical risks associated with projects.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Knowledge of and commitment to maintaining high quality standards in technical deliverables.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams, including non-technical department.
- Regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of quality assurance.
- Awareness of industry specific standards regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to the technical domain.
