**Summary:
The Sonographer is responsible for using ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body's internal organs and tissues. These images are used by physicians to diagnose and monitor a variety of medical conditions. The Sonographer must have a thorough understanding of ultrasound principles and techniques, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, including explaining the procedure, obtaining informed consent, and positioning patients.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images.
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy.
- Document ultrasound exams and findings.
- Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures related to ultrasound exposure.
- Provide patient care and education.
- Work as part of a team to provide quality patient care.

**Qualifications**:

- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- ARDMS certification.
- Minimally 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow safety procedures.
- Willingness to learn new skills and keep up with advances in technology.
