As a QC Scientist, you'll play a crucial role in our mission by performing and documenting tests within our client's state-of-the-art QC Laboratory. Join us in ensuring the smooth running of our operations to meet schedules for the release of critical final and intermediate products.

**Primary Activities - Your Accountabilities**: In this role, you will be responsible for a range of key activities, including but not limited to:
**1. Precise Testing and Reporting**:

- Conduct routine laboratory assays according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure adequate stocks of reagents, materials, and equipment for timely testing
- Maintain accurate records and document all test data in compliance with Good Documentation Practice
- Peer review the work of team members and contribute to test result release

**2. Housekeeping and Equipment Maintenance**:

- Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment according to SOPs and GLP
- Perform routine calibrations to keep lab equipment in optimal condition
- Adhere to applicable Global Quality Policies for smooth operations

**3. Ensuring Quality and Compliance**:

- Monitor assays for anomalies and recommend corrective actions as necessary
- Investigate and report on Events
- Be an active contributor to continuous improvement efforts in the department
- Participate in the development and execution of test method or equipment qualification protocols

**4. Collaboration and Teamwork**:

- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth product flow
- Provide training to other members of the QC team
- Be proactive in supporting the team's initiatives and meeting assigned due dates

**5. Commitment to Health and Safety**:

- Adhere to EHS procedures, identify and control hazards in the work area
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Be actively involved in EHS monitoring and reporting

**What You Bring**:

- A Science degree in a relevant discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field)
- Over 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting (e.g., ISO17025, GLP OECD, GMP preferred)
- Experience with GMP/GLP and previous method development and validation
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant technical standards for laboratories
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration requirements
- Previous experience with Laboratory LIMS systems and excellent technical written skills

**MUST HAVE COMPETENCIES**:

- Test Proficiency/Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of test equipment and methodology, interpreting and reporting results accurately with attention to detail.
- Communication: Exhibit excellent written communication skills for record-keeping and demonstrate effective verbal communication within the team.
- Planning and Organising: Efficiently plan and organise daily workload to meet testing schedules, including material and equipment coordination.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address anomalies promptly, demonstrating sound judgment and escalation when needed.
- Business Process/Compliance Knowledge: Possess a strong working knowledge of cGMP, GDP, GLP, and MSD business policies, and show adherence to quality manual and business processes.
- Initiative: Take proactive actions to prevent loss, actively seek ways to exceed job expectations, and initiate actions to achieve goals.
