Analytical Chemist

In this role, you will:

- be part of the Chemical Verification Team to provide verification support for National Security purposes
- Be responsible for building up capability for the analysis of chemicals of relevance in both laboratory and operations settings. The job involves close teamwork with colleagues in interdisciplinary project teams and you must have the ability to work collaboratively and individually

**Requirements**:

- Degree/Master/PHD in Analytical Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Chemistry / Chemistry & Biological Chemistry
- Able to plan and execute projects independently
- Experienced in the operation and optimisation of gas chromatograph and/or liquid chromatograph coupled to mass spectrometric detectors.
- Possess good understanding of analytical instruments, including Gas Chromatograph, Liquid Chromatograph and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy
- Willing to handle toxic chemicals
- Possess a good understanding of organic chemistry
