**About the Data Analyst Role**

We are looking for a data analyst who is both passionate about data, as well as telling the stories behind it. You are a professional in insights storytelling, communication and visualization and know how to turn metrics into action. You love seeing data transform into information, enabling automation and creating convincing visualizations (such as dashboards and presentations) and stories.

You are able to spot opportunities in data and know how to enable others to use it effectively. Next to being a data evangelist, you love building self-serve dashboards for people to use, whether for our merchants directly or for internal stakeholders. You don't like doing the same thing twice: you have an automation mindset so your work is never repetitive. You know how to design (and maybe even create) highly optimized datasets that can be used to answer impactful questions.

**What You'll Do**

We are currently hiring for a data analyst in the **Analytics** organization in Singapore. This role will be part of the Strategy and Experimentation team that focuses on the conversion flow of payments. We help merchants create frictionless payment experiences where we minimize shopper drop-offs during checkout while considering a multitude of variables. You will explain how merchants can optimize their checkout process, why certain payment routes perform differently and what we should develop to maximize conversion performance.

**Who you are**
- Demonstrable past experience in a similar role at a previous company. Experience in the payments industry is a plus.
- You are (almost) as passionate about people as you are about data. You get excited about what data can do for others and want to contribute to a data-driven organization. You are a great communicator and feel comfortable talking to stakeholders. You don't blindly follow up requests, but make sure you get the question behind the query. You love articulating data-stories to your stakeholders. These can include merchants on our platform.
- Technical and have a good understanding of all components of an analytical data pipeline. You are comfortable writing (complex) SQL queries and have (at least) some level of coding skills (R or Python).
- It's a plus if you have experience with tools like JupyterHub and Looker and Big Data technology such as Spark, Hadoop and Airflow. At Adyen we use Git for version control, so some level of experience here is a plus.
