Singapore MAXWELL SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. Full time

**Requirements**:
a) Degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

b) Certificate of Competency (CoC) (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 1

c) Minimum one-year sea service as Chief engineer onboard tanker vessels

d) Good communication and people management skills

e) Excellent leadership skills

**Duties**:
The Technical Superintendent reports to the Technical Manager (TM). His duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the followings:
a) Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of vessels.

b) Ensure that vessels are adequately maintained and operated in accordance with Administration, Class, and Company policies.

c) Ensure that the SMS system is maintained and improved where necessary.

d) Monitor the due date of statutory and Class surveys.

e) Prepare docking lists and plan docking schedules.

f) Assist the TM in the investigation of machinery failure, defects, and accidents, and recommending preventive measures.

g)Raise a work order for work to be done by repairers.

h) Prepare repair specifications and coordinate with various repair firms for effecting major repairs, if any, during the voyage without incurring delay to the vessel.

i) Handling emergency and technical matters on scene and others when required.

j) Coordinating supply of stores and spares to vessels.

k)To carry out routine vessel inspections, dry-docking, and major repairs in coordination with principals after making the cost comparison of various yards and repairers in the most efficient manner.

l) Handling technical matters in the Emergency Response Team in the office.

m) To monitor inventory control of stores and spares, maintenance of critical machinery and various machinery in the PMS, the performance of vessels, compliance with all applicable health, safety, security, and pollution prevention regulations, certification status of vessels, and always ensure that vessels are maintained in seaworthy condition and trading certificates are valid.
