**Our music teachers are expected to**:

- Conduct 1-1 and small group classes
- Create learning plans and prepare lessons in relation to individual students' goals and examination syllabuses
- Prepare students for music exams, competitions, or performances
- Communicate with parents regarding student goals and progress
- Piano accompaniment when requested
- Contribute to the development and curriculum of the piano program when requested
- Support colleagues in creating a safe and purposeful environment conducive to outstanding learning for all students
- Attend staff meetings and teacher training sessions when requested
- Work collaboratively with other colleagues in group activities, such as camps, exam preparation, or concerts
- Assist in marketing activities related to promoting the school when requested

**We’d love to hear from you if**:

- You hold a Diploma in Music, Bachelor’s degree in music, or Master’s Degree in Music in Piano
- Certification in a second instrument is a bonus Must be a Grade 8 Certificate or higher from a recognized music program such as ABRSM, RockSchool, RCM, or Trinity
- You smile A LOT, and have a bright and cheerful personality with confident communication skills
- You love working with young children
