Equipment Package Engineer

Purpose of the position
- To provide package unit and equipment project design expertise to the Project to ensure project requirements are fulfilled. Liaising with different parties (Contractors, Operations, Authorities) ensuring alignmentin all relevant aspects for equipment, package units, with piping, E&I and structural/civil and with local authority requirements.

Principal responsibilities
- Assist in managing package/equipment engineering needs of the Project with close coordination with appointed Contractor(s) and Vendors.
- Check and Review the Project technical documentation and requirements covered in Project specifications, RFQs, Bidder Quotes, Clarifications, PO Requisitions, Vendor Docs, Inspection and Testing Plans, Tech Queries from 3rd parties, etc to ensure Linde Gas’s expectations and requirements are satisfactorily met
- Review equipment and package unit (PU) engineering making sure project requirements are fulfilled.
- With in-depth engineering expertise coordinate interfaces between various disciplines (such as Equipment, PU, piping, Civil/Structural, and E&I) internally and externally with contractor(s) and vendor(s).
- Preparation of RFQ Package(s) for Project Tender.
- Assist in EPC contractor coordination for effective management of Engineering & Construction interfaces from an equipment/package standpoint
- Support the engineering contractor with required as-built information and coordination with plant operations.
- Interface management with other sub-projects, suppliers, and LGS operations/ maintenance ensuring smooth execution as part of a brownfield project
- Alignment of engineering design vs actual site conditions
- Coordinate preparation of technical specifications for procurement.
- Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentation in accordance with Linde’s guidelines and standards
- Responsible for validating that all specified requirements have been fulfilled.
- Coordinate and assist in the resolution of technical issues arising during the project and for interfacing/supporting the various engineering disciplines and departments.
- Verify and act upon the remarks of the Client/Certifying Body.
- Responsible for providing technical support during pre-commissioning/commissioning and start-up.
- Representing Linde in Model reviews

Required key skills (functional/technical)
- Extensive engineering expertise in Package Unit, static equipment, and / or piping design ( _Mandatory _) in Oil & Gas Industry or petrochemical, or similar
- Construction experience in Oil& Gas Industry.
- Familiar with Pre-assembled equipment units and associated interface challenges
- Conversant with Singapore Authority requirements with respect to Steam Boilers, Steam Piping and associated equipment Design, Fabrication, and Installation to effectively interface with Project Permitting team
- Brownfield experience (preferred)
- Experience in piping design
- Detailed knowledge of relevant national and international codes and standards.
- Detailed knowledge of local safety and construction practices
- Familiar with P&IDs, Isometrics, equipment dwg’s, E&I
- Preferably experience with Linde Gas Standard requirements

Required qualifications/experience
- + 10 years professional experience in related field.
- Experience working in project and construction environment within gas & gas industries.
- Well-skilled in Mechanical Static equipment engineering activities like exposure to Fired Heaters/Boilers, Heat exchangers and other O&G package equipment.
