**Your background**
- 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience
- University degree from a relevant field, for example international relations, public policy, economics, business administration and/or ESG
- Excellent understanding and awareness of the public policy environment, ideally across the entire APAC region
- Knowledge of - and experience with - financial services regulation, especially in the field of ESG policy
- Knowledge of - and experience with - the political, regulatory, and supervisory stakeholders relevant across the region
- Excellent English both verbally and in writing; ability to draft succinct reports and other material in English
- Ability to work directly with senior, international executives
- Willingness and ability to work closely in a global team composed of highly skilled individuals with an international background
- Ability to supervise and quality control the work of more junior colleagues in a productive and collegiate manner

**What you can expect**

Senior Vice President in Public Policy, based in Singapore, you will be required to support the company’s business objectives in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and will be part of the International Public Policy team, you will report to the Head of International Government Relations and International ESG Policy.

You will be responsible for managing the company's public policy strategy development and implementation on a regional basis, including education and advocacy with government officials. You will manage contract personnel (external lobbyists) as well as trade association and coalition relationships. Seek to identify and address legislative and political risks and opportunities impacting our company (and industry). Establish and maintain relationships, as appropriate, with public officials. Implement and monitor ESG policy strategy and monitoring for the region in coordination with the ESG group in APAC and EMEA. Monitor regulatory developments in key jurisdictions in the APAC region and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders within the ESG, Global Environment and Public Policy groups.

**What you will do**
- **Management**. Acting as the senior Government Relations and International ESG Policy lead for Bank of America in the APAC region, with direct reference to the International Head of Government Relations and International ESG Policy. Collaborating closely with regional management and participating in global collaboration efforts as the senior APAC point person, as required.
- ** Supervision of issues management**. Supervising the mapping of public policy and regulatory issues of relevance to Bank of America’s business across the APAC region as well as issues relevant for Bank of America as a major global financial institution that might emerge from the region; identifying new issues on an ongoing basis; prioritising the issues; monitoring and reporting on developments. This should explicitly - and in depth - cover regulatory developments in relation to ESG.
- ** Supervision of political and policy monitoring**. Following general political and policy trends across the APAC region, supervising the analysis and reporting on how these might impact Bank of America’s prioritised regulatory issues.
- ** Analysis and advocacy. **Lead and be responsible for the development of advocacy strategies, positions and plans to ensure positive positioning of Bank of America among regulatory and ESG circles across APAC, as well as effective engagement on the key regulatory and public policy issues important to Bank of America’s business. Supervise the production of quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as lead the drafting of advocacy material (presentations, position papers, message books, speeches, and other outreach material) to get Bank of America’s messages across effectively.
- ** Supervision of outreach coordination**. Be responsible for the practical implementation of Bank of America’s APAC government relations activities, including leading the involvement with industry associations or other networking groups, participating in the organisation of Bank of America-sponsored events, and meeting organisation and logistics for senior Bank of America executives. Supervise or carry out the drafting of background briefings, messages and - as required - speeches to prepare the participation of senior executives at these occasions. Manage Bank of America’s government affairs and ESG policy consultancy relationships in the region, as required.
- ** Global collaboration.** Participate actively in the global agenda and tasks of the International Government Relations and ESG Policy Team at Bank of America. This will, from time to time, require pitching into shared projects of global significance that need to be delivered by the team collectively. This also include the supervision of deliverables by more junior members of the team.
