**Director, Analytics**

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become part of our analytics team based in Singapore servicing the wider Asia region. The role will focus on developing and articulating insight and solutions in catastrophe analytics for clients to support their risk management and reinsurance decisions in order to meet their risk, return and capital requirements. Our team consists of actuaries, catastrophe modellers, engineers, financial analysts and GIS experts. Responsibilities will involve interacting with analytics, brokers and clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

**What the day will look like**
- Support catastrophe modelling analysis using internal and externally licensed catastrophe models.
- Interpret and articulate catastrophe model results to internal and external stakeholders
- Support testing and evaluation of models.
- Manage regional projects and deliverables supporting client solutions focused in catastrophe management.
- Application and communication of catastrophe modelling results for reinsurance design, pricing and placement.
- Experience in reinsurance design and broking preferred
- Mentor junior colleagues in catastrophe analytics
- Build and leverage relationships external stakeholders to help identify information gaps, improve suboptimal processes and analyses.
- Presentations and conduct training sessions, workshops and related assistance to help support delivery of key Aon tools and products.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
- Graduated in a science files such as earth science, physics, mathematics or related fields such as actuarial, finance, business or statistical studies
- 5+ years’ experience in (re)insurance working in an analytical role focusing on catastrophe modelling/management
- 5+ years experience in catastrophe modelling platforms, operating and interpretation
- Competent computer skills in MS Office suites (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, programming or scripting required
- GIS experience (ArcMap) required
- Demonstrated ability to deliver custom solutions for clients in the area of catastrophe management
- Demonstrated skills in the management, communication and delivery of catastrophe management or related projects with positive outcomes for internal and external stakeholders within (re)insurance industry
- Ability to travel within the Asia region to facilitate client presentations, seminars and conferences as required.
