**Senior / EHS Engineer, Singapore**
This position is an individual contributor role that focuses on developing EHS and Management System programs, procedures, and processes to enhance operational controls over EHS risks in the organisation. This position will be responsible for the maintenance of EHS administrative system and tool to achieve sustainable EHS system and performance.

This position will take up existing roles of Workplace Safety and Health Officer and Deputy Site Fire Safety Manager. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders from Laboratories, Corporate Services and Supply Chain Operations.

**The Position**:

- Act as the official statutory role of certified Workplace Safety & Health Officer and representing the site or area in-charged with local authorities. Key duties as WSHO include:

- Conduct regular EHS inspection to identify and close hazards and safety gaps at the workplace e.g Laboratories and Offices.
- Perform EHS incident investigation and follow-up action plan with responsible Area Manager.
- Organize and implement EHS promotional activities.
- Prepare and manage EHS data, reports and presentations as required.
- Provide operational hands-on EHS support to Stakeholders. Key duties include:

- Review internal risk assessment and safety work instructions.
- Review contractor risk assessment and safety work instruction for contractors’ work activities.
- Participate in pre-start-up safety and Management of Change reviews.
- Provide on-site EHS support, solutions and inculcate continuous improvement.
- Facilitate and conduct training, audit and implementation of Symrise 10 Safety Golden Rules.
- Provide strong support to Laboratories and Offices as a technical and Safety Golden Rules
- Provide first line response support to any EHS incidents or emergencies.
- Facilitate, maintain and implement EHS management systems and programs as assigned.
- Act as the site back-up Fire Safety Manager.
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Chemical, Engineering or related disciplines.
- Is a certified MOM WSH officer, with at least 2 years of industrial EHS hands-on experience in Laboratories or industrial setting handling Chemicals or distribution of Dangerous Goods.
- Experience in the implementation of EHS program, collaborating with various key stakeholders and communicate key aspects of EHS.
- A strong team player with a high level of self-initiative, ability to work with mínimal supervision and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Preferably a certified Fire Safety Manager.
- Trained as an internal auditor in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 with strong familiarity in these requirements of these processes is preferred.
- Other relevant training including Management of Hazardous Substances, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Safety, Confined Space Safety Assessor, Work at Height Manager, Company Emergency Response etc would be an added advantage.
