Accounting Associate

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Accounting**:

- Assist in the preparation of full sets of accounts in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Perform bookkeeping and data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Maintain proper and organized accounting records and documentation.
- Assist with audit preparations and liaise with auditors.
- **Tax**:

- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns.
- Prepare Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns and assist with GST-related matters.
- Assist with the preparation of individual income tax returns.
- Prepare tax computations and supporting schedules.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in Singapore tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in handling tax queries from clients and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
- Support senior team members in tax planning and advisory projects.
- **Client Management**:

- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients.
- Assist in responding to client queries and requests promptly.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships.
- **Other Responsibilities**:

- Assist with ad-hoc accounting and tax-related tasks as required.
- Contribute to team meetings and share knowledge.
- Adhere to the firm's policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development and training activities.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
- Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Singapore tax regulations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software. Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
