Application Principal Consultant

The Application and Digital Transformation team at DELL EMC is uniquely positioned to help customers in their Transformation Journey to make them relevant for the next decade.

To accelerate the capabilities and help take some of this to market we are currently looking for a Principal Consultant in our Singapore office, who can come stitch end to end solutions for our customers in their Transformation Journey.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for:

- Leading code reviews, testing processes, and certification of software; presents architecture and design solutions.
- Defines deliverables for SOW
- Suggest architecture improvements, recommending process improvements for Application Modernization, Application Portfolio Optimization & Cloud Engineering
- Design, Develop, Deploy, automate, and manage enterprise grade Cloud native solutions, release pipelines and to ensure the faster release of new features to productions systems
- Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements
- Support working with Sales, Pre-Sales and Customers in an advisory role, providing competency based solutioning and help towards deal-closures

Job Requirements:

- Software Engineering background with Application Development experience of 10+ years
- Experience of building distributed / service oriented / microservice-style and Cloud based architectures
- Should have strong understanding of (or implementation experience in) building 12-Factor Applications, using Domain Driven Design
- Agile practitioner, familiar with Extreme Programming, Test Driven Software Development, Pair-Programming, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and related techniques
- Excellent hands-on knowledge on Agile delivery platforms
- Experience of Application Development and Migration on PCF / AWS / Azure / GCP / Private Cloud
- Excellent hands-on knowledge on Jira platform
- Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (Python, Java or.Net) and Automation Skills
- Strong expertise in Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Strong expertise in Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Dockers
- Polyglot Programming & Full-Stack Development would be great advantage: (experience in Java, JavaScript, Node, React, Angular, Go, Spring, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal skills

Additional skills desirable:

- Knowledge on Artifact Repository tools like Nexus, Artifactory
- Expertise in Puppet Labs or Ansible
- Expertise in Terraform, Hashicorp Vault & Foreman
- Knowledge and working experience of Node.JS, React.JS, Angular.JS etc (JavaScript Framework)
- Good experience in engineering tools like Atlassian Jira, Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, nexus, Jenkins, bamboo, RabbitMQ
- Strong DevOps, SRE and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Expertise in Version Control tools like Git, Bitbucket
- Expertise in Build tools like Jenkins, Bamboo to build re-usable release pipelines, release and configuration management tools like Chef/Puppet/Ansible platforms
- Prior working experience with internal teams (Sales/Pre-Sales), towards RFI/RFP creation and deal-closures
