Structural Steel Site Engineer

**The Role**

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Installation Work**
- Undertaking surveys, technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
- Arrange materials, manpower & equipment for the installation works.
- Setting out sites and organizing facilities
- Managing & Supervising installation workers on site.
- Overseeing fabrication & Installation work at site
- Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
- Liaising with clients, Main contractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
- Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
- Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
- Liaising with procurement executive/quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
- Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
- Prepare the necessary safety documents like Method of Statement (MOS), Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedure (SWP) etc.

**2. Sale’s Technical Support in Measure & Supply works / Measure, Supply & Installation work**
- Visiting to the site with sales executive to take measurements
- Site Engineer should be able to have a record also of the weight provided by the galvanizing company. Note that it should be close to the weight computed during the quotation Stage for the purpose of knowing the approximated galvanizing cost.
- Providing shop drawings, Production specification and support and other technical information after the approved order.

**Production Technical Support.**
- Monitor & assist the production department in case of production engineer on leave or vacation or the production is too tight.
- Assist to production Engineer on creating BOQ & cutting list for the Supply & Installation
- Do the QA/QC check on the Supply & Installation products.

**Reworks on site.**
- According to the NCR, Arrange materials, manpower & equipment for the rework.
- Organizing facilities
- Managing & Supervising workers on site and Overseeing rework at site

**Ideal Profile**

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum educational qualification/ level: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum years of working experience in Steel Structural and Metal Works: 3 Years.
- Software skills: Auto CAD & MS Office

Soft skills:

- Sound mathematical, scientific and IT skills
- The ability to think methodically and to manage projects
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets
- Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills
- Complete knowledge of relevant legislation
