As the Government Affairs Manager, you provide expert support in areas of healthcare policies related interactions. You have the expertise to develop programs and initiatives that will facilitate and simplify future interactions with authorities and reduce the risk of infractions.

**What you’ll do**:

- Support the Corporate Affairs Director and co-own the relationships with government officials, business chambers and foreign embassies, while playing a supporting role in interactions with key external government contacts
- Identify, analyse, and act on emerging changes and issues in external health environment, including competitive landscape and impact of government health policies on AstraZeneca
- Develop and implement strategies and innovative approaches to guide interactions with the government, industry and healthcare partners that will drive optimal access for AstraZeneca at therapeutic areas level
- Support or lead multiple Government Affairs projects to maximize the efficiency of interactions with regulatory bodies and government officials related to our therapeutic areas priorities
- Prepare briefs and other documents for the organization, aimed at influencing government and regulatory developments and channels these through a network of public sector contacts
- Be AZ representation in Pharmaceutical Trade Association and actively participate in industry level policies shaping projects and interactions with government and healthcare partners

**Essential for the role**:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Public Health, Government Relations, Communications or related field
- Experience within pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- In-depth understanding of Singapore’s health environment: coverage and subsidy decision-making processes, pricing and contracting strategies, formulary management, health technology assessment processes, and payment policies
- Experience in managing and leading project teams
- Excellent communication skills, strong oral/written presentation skills
