Finance Business Partner Lead

**Overview**

Gusto Collective Singapore is seeking a Finance Business Partner to enhance its financial performance and enable greater cost transparency to support our global expansion plans You will be responsible for leading end-to-end business infrastructure and growth upgrades, as well as driving down costs. Your work will also help to expand lines of business profitability, working alongside business leaders to enhance transparency and operational excellence.

You will manage a team with the core focus being to enable greater transparency into Gusto Collective Singapore’s financial performance. The team will be primarily responsible for process efficiency, consolidated reporting and analytics, systems automation, and current + next-gen internal cost allocation. This is a highly visible position that owns key deliverables and daily engagement with senior leaders, both in Singapore and regionally.

To be successful in this important role, you will have to bring a mix of strong analytical, financial reporting and business process excellence skills. In addition, you will need the skills and confidence to work effectively across teams, understand and communicate integrated processes, manage process upgrades, and work with regional business lines.

**Your areas of focus will be**:

- **Financial Rhythm of Business**:Reporting directly to our CFO based in Hong Kong, you will forecast, target-set and budget to support business goals. You will communicate deliverables clearly and facilitate monthly FP&A reviews with key stakeholders.
- **Finance Business Partnering**:Working closely with the Singapore leadership team, you will partner, educate and enable the team to make sound business decisions backed by numbers.
- **Financial Reporting**:You will drive consolidated financial reporting which includes the monthly close, ongoing planning (forecast, budget, target etc.) and other financial cycles (tax). You will handle the preparation of annual audits and reports.
- **Process Transformation**:You will lead process efficiencies to continuously improve monthly close, forecasting and planning cycles to ensure key deadlines and deliverables are optimized. You will also provide input for our technology tool upgrades and ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
- **Automation**:You will collaborate with the wider Finance team to continuously improve end-to-end automated systems to enable greater productivity and enhanced financial performance.
- **Leadership / Management**:You will lead a regional SEA finance team, with the Singapore team handling payables and receivables, and a Malaysia-based finance manager.

**You will need**:

- 5+ years of professional experience in audit or reporting or similar functions
- 3+ years of experience working with leadership stakeholders and leading a small finance team
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Xero, NetSuite etc.
- Treasury, payments, finance business partnering expertise is a big plus
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, fin-tech or start-up is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple and competing projects/priorities.
- Strong communication, cross group collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Strong, proven project management, process change and process management skills
- Highly developed analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentCPA or equivalent preferred
