Job Overview

The Senior LPG Operator manages the implementation and execution of all physical cargo operations for the LPG team globally. This includes supporting the trading team in contract finalization, chartering and ensuring the efficient and optimized execution of all related contracts. The Senior LPG Operator reports to the Senior LPG trader who will closely coordinate all activities with the traders across offices in Singapore and London.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and/or drafting of contracts for new term/spot deals.
- Communicate with counterparts to ensure nominations are sent timely and ongoing cargo operations are carried out smoothly.
- Arrange Counterparty registration and clearance with Group Treasury, and ensure credit security are adhered to
- Comply with regulatory and company requirements for HSSE and Compliance which includes ship vetting, sanction checks and KYC
- Timely preparation of cargo invoices and required documents for payment settlement.
- Handle post-cargo operations such as demurrage claims.
- Mitigate unforeseen costs arising from factors such as demurrage, off spec product etc
- Paper swaps administration to ensure deals are updated internally, trade confirmations are sent correctly by brokers and checking of monthly broker's invoices
- Feed market information in to trading team
- Support finance in financial closing, including provisions and accruals

**Qualifications**:

- Degree level education, preferably in a numerate discipline (or equivalent experience)

Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in trading operations preferably in LPG or oil product markets
- Knowledge of contracts and risks related to cargo operations, chartering and demurrage
- Good understanding of Inco terms and Trade Finance parameters for LC Imports and exports

Skills / Competencies
- Team player able to collaborate efficiently and smoothly with other team members.
- Strong inter-personal communication skills.
- Able to organize and prioritize and work on multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Attention to details and numerate.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and make decisions in a pressurized environment.
