At Holland International School we offer two learning streams with an international focus and based on a Dutch-rooted approach to education. Within the Dutch Stream, the language of instruction is Dutch and the students are given English lessons daily as part of the curriculum. Our school’s culture and education approach focuses on our students learning in an inquiry-based and structured way. They are given ownership of their learning, allowing them to set their own learning goals. At the same time, students are encouraged to be internationally-minded and socially competent learners. Teachers tailor lessons to their students’ different learning needs and talents, to empower each student to achieve their best.

**The role and responsibilities**

The role of Dutch Educational Teaching assistant is new within our school. This position will ensure a smooth educational process and provide support where needed. As our new Dutch Educational Teaching assistant, you support the Dutch teachers within our school. You assist Dutch teachers with substantive, guiding, caregiving, and administrative tasks. You work closely with the teachers, who always remain responsible for the entire learning environment.

You will be:

- preparing lessons and guiding individual students with their tasks;
- supervising the class and assisting with administrative tasks;
- evaluating with the teacher and identifying problems;
- organising and setting up the classroom;
- motivating and inspiring students;
- improving the quality of education and supporting teachers and students.

You have
- Dutch MBO level 4 - teaching assistant or related diploma; (comparable to the Singaporean Higher Nitec and the Polytechnic Diploma in terms of vocational and technical education)
- Experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

**Our offer**

An employment contract starting as soon as possible. As this is a new position, we offer a year contract, with the potential for annual renewal. Your full-time salary lies between $ 2,200 and $ 2,500. In addition to your monthly salary, based on your experience and expertise, you will be entitled to a monthly transportation allowance and follow the school holiday schedule for teachers. Furthermore, we provide a health insurance package and offer a bonus payment.
