**Role **s **and Responsibilities**:

- IBM Informix database administration, DB scripting, installation, management, support.
- Strong knowledge on database administration, SQL, NoSQL, JSON.
- Have a good understanding of database design principles and SQL and writing SQL scripts to manipulate data and optimizing queries for better performance.
- proficient in database scripting to perform various tasks such as data backup, database tuning, data migration, and data manipulation.
- Daily maintenance and reviewing log files, provide support on all aspects of DB administration including backup/ recovery, replication, deployment, and real-time production troubleshooting responsibilities.
- Address database performance issues using performance monitors and various tuning techniques.
- Watching the system for requests of add, configuration change, and modify designs. Troubleshoot database production problems and database connectivity issues.
- Able to write database maintenance/automation scripts.

**Eligibility**

**Educational Qualification**: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.

**Technical Skills**: Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Java C#, or Python are required. Knowledge of database management systems and SQL is also essential. Familiarity with IBM Informix-specific technologies such as 4GL, ESQL/C, and SPL would be an added advantage.

**Analytical and Problem **-Solving Skills: Developers should have a strong aptitude for analytical thinking and problem-solving. They should be able to analyze complex issues, identify the root cause of problems, and develop effective solutions.

**Communication and Collaboration Skills**: Developers should be able to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. They should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.

**Familiarity with Agile Methodologies**: Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, would be an added advantage
