Responsible for the skilful, timely and accurate collection of blood specimens from patients as requested by the clinician using any of the appropriate techniques listed: Venipuncture, Capillary collection - fingerstick or heelstick, Blood culture specimen collection
- Ensure timely and accurate collection of breath sample for the Urea Breath Test.
- Acquire knowledge and skills on Laboratory Information System and required IT systems.
- Assist in managing and inventoried supplies in the laboratory.
- Rotate duties between Hospitals as determined by Manager.
- Work alongside laboratory manager and colleagues to achieve total quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain tidiness of workplace.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.

**Key accountabilities**:

- To attain Quantity of draws
- miss-draw must be less than or equal to 2 per day.
- Adhere to 2 patient identifiers at all times.
- Correct usage of specimen tubes and label at all times.
- Generate Inpatient/ Outpatient Statistics on timely manner. Inventorize supplies are sufficient and stocked at Par Level

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum GCE “N” Level, State Enrolled Nurse, equivalent or higher nursing qualifications, or Medical Technology degree / diploma with Phlebotomist certificate.
- Preferably with experience in Phlebotomy via vaccutainer or syringe and needle venepuncture.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Patient/ customer service orientated.

**Additional Information**:

- Covers 4 PLS sites for Phlebotomy.
- Covers flexible arrangements, public holidays and weekends.
- Provide Phlebotomy service for Inpatient, Outpatient Lab and Medical Clinics.
