DESIGNATION : Senior Frontend Dev (React)

RESPONSIBILITIES

You'll work closely with teammates to deliver cool high scale product features. You'll partner with your product owners, teammates and cross functional teams around the company to identify problems and build solutions that benefit all of FairPrice/NTUC engineers. This role will be part of a new ‘startup’ within Fairprice that is operating in stealth mode.
- You’re responsible for creating high quality and responsive websites.
- Make sure the code base is scalable and testable.
- Engage with our business partners and end users, provide best user experiences
- Actively participate in team discussions to drive a problem-solving approach.
- Work closely with Team Leads to help break down high-level requirements to technical requirements.
- Write and maintain test cases with the right approach needed to ensure good coverage and quality.
- Participate as active Agile team members to drive great ideas or features to delight our customers and help achieve business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Passionate for building seamless user interfaces. Know how to give users something that is more than just functionality and bring customer delight moments
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/HTML/CSS frontend engineering experience and strong familiarity with key concepts including asynchronous programming, the DOM, browser APIs, modern CSS, cross browser compatibility and accessibility.
- Deep understanding of the underlying design philosophy and implementation of common web frameworks, including React/Vue.
- Experience with Redux/React Context API or similar frameworks.
- Experience with Styled Components or SCSS.
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure alignment to overall business and technology strategies and architectures.

OTHER INFORMATION
- Understanding about core web-vitals and pagespeed API.
- Experience building PWA(Progressive Web App) while understanding key concepts: app shell, cache and service-worker.
- Experience with designing and building RESTful APIs using Node.JS, GoLang
- Deep familiarity and experience with common web compilation and bundling frameworks, including Webpack/Rollup/BaBel/ESbuild/Gulp.
- Experience in events tracking and logging.
- Experience with Apollo GraphQL/Relay or similar frameworks.
