Subsea Engineer

Job overview:
The Subsea Engineer will work within a team of engineers and provide engineering support to any of ABL’s business lines in the region, and will be responsible for planning, verifying and execution of projects as assigned. The key area of focus will be to support Offshore Wind Farm installation and technical engineering review.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage Marine Warranty Services Project, including review of project engineering documents, schedules, planning of surveyors attendance, planning of site attendances, monitoring project operations and ensure Certificate of Approval (COA) issuance on site
- Attendance on site in Singapore, overseas and possibly offshore as and when required by the project
- Assist with preparation of proposals for bids and tender inputs
- Developing new business including initiating and winning proposals
- Supervise/prepare as required and assist with engineering design, calculations and analysis for designs of various structural elements pertaining to the project in accordance with international codes and standards
- Assist and/or lead projects (as assigned by the manager) to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to customers within the timeframe, costs and quality standards established by ABL and/or the Client
- Responsible for the execution of projects and deliverables are in accordance with quality and HSE standards
- Maintain responsibility for engineering integrity, prepare working forecasts, identifying change management plans and corrective action as well as real time schedules
- Ensure all deliverables is carried out in accordance with ABL policies and procedures
- Participate in engineering-related reviews and audits
- Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction
- Provide mentoring, coaching and motivation to subordinates and provide training to personnel new to the systems analyses and design as required
- Support the General Manager as required in the day-to-day management of the operational generating assets, including scheduling, and controlling site works, reacting to emergencies, coordinating unscheduled maintenance, responding to network outages, site issues and faults and failures
- Carrying out requested reporting and where required, in-depth analysis of technical issues
- Review proposals from contractors and service providers and seek the best resolution to technical issues
- Develop strong relationships with clients, contractors and service providers to maximize their performance
- Support in the close out of the survey / review punch list items
- Support review of Subsea engineering documents not limiting to documents related to Cable, Umbilical, Risers, Pipelines, Weld-head platforms, Jackets, Pin piles, etc.
- And other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Degree qualification in Subsea Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years relevant experience and expertise with offshore fixed and mobile structures
- Capable of Senior Management responsibilities with limited direction or Line Director Supervision
- Accustomed to leading a team in the execution of projects to a high standard on time and on budget
- Strong people and project management skills
- Able to build strong commercial relationships with clients
- Knowledge of Offshore/Structural Engineering analysis and design computer programs
- Attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy
- Results orientated and client focused
- Proactive and ability to show initiative in problem solving
- Influential with business and people acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility towards working hours
- Primarily office based but requirement for onsite (offshore) attendance and time with clients
