Trainer

**Job Summary:
Facilitate learning and development trainings and initiatives that enable employees at all levels to develop relevant competencies that allow them to perform their roles to the standards required at TWG Tea. To instill a sense of pride and passion that enables each employee to become a brand ambassador for TWG Tea. Also, to act as a TWG Tea ambassador with corporate and private customers at trainings, events, and other public events such as product launches.

**Primary Relationships:
The position reports to the head of Learning and Brand Experience.

Within the organization, this position has a primary relationship with the Human Resources, Operations, Corporate Sales and Corporate Communications departments in Singapore. The position has a secondary relationship with the General Managers, Trainers, Operations Managers and HR teams at TWG Tea subsidiary and franchise offices outside of Singapore. Outside the organization, the position coordinates primarily with vendors and service providers (corporate customers, training consultants, production houses, etc.)
- Follow instructions and guidance from Head of Learning and Brand Experience with regards to all learning and development or training issues at TWG Tea
- Demonstrate ability to facilitate all relevant workshops and initiatives included in the TWG Tea learning and development curriculum to a professional standard (as laid out in the relevant TWG Tea facilitator guides)
- Proactively gather feedback from the Head of Learning and Brand Experience regarding your ability to facilitate to the TWG Tea standards
- Ensure that training offered to Corporate Sales partners is facilitated to the same standard as those offered at the Tea Institute
- Able to multitask, prioritize and execute all learning and development duties in Singapore (Tea Institute & Corporate Partners)
- Ensure that all competencies developed during TWG Tea training sessions (brand experience / selling / serving / managing / supervising / barman experience etc.) are checked using the correct evaluation tool
- Monitor the standards of training that is facilitated or delivered in all areas of operations - redirect or coach any individual who does not maintain the TWG Tea facilitating standards
- Ask for assistance with any areas of your role where you are not confident and/or do not have the required level of competence to complete the task successfully
- Suggest new topics or ideas for training that will support the operation and ensure that the learning and development opportunities offered will support employees in all stages of their journey
- Maintain active and high-level communication with all employees in the business - regularly visit the employees in their workspace to ensure that they feel supported and listened to - share regular feedback with the Head of Learning and Brand Experience
- Assist the Head of Learning and Brand Experience in establishing and maintaining an efficient and effective system that records all learning and development activities
- Ensure that individual feedback is recorded for all learning and development initiatives that happen at TWG Tea
- Assess learning needs and adapts the facilitation approach to reflect desired learning outcomes and learner needs.
- Responsible for knowledge and skills transfer by delivering learning content, facilitating group discussions and responding to queries
- Drive learner development and commitment to continuous learning by actively providing feedback and learner support
- Evaluate curriculum effectiveness and recommends improvement areas by collecting learner feedback as well as analyzing learning delivery approaches and materials
- Conduct on the job trainings in TWG Tea locations in Singapore and globally.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
- Trainer Certification e.g., ACTA, ACLP
- Experience in the F&B and Retail industry, ideally experience in the luxury goods industry
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in the F&B/Retail/Learning and Development in a corporate environment
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Experience in public speaking
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to build strong business rapport at all levels
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to conduct and follow structured training programs
- Able to work independently, under pressure and tight deadlines
- Proactive, agile and adaptable team-player
- Travel out-of-town and/or overnight from time to time (less than 10%)
- Trainers are required to wear a TWG Tea uniform.

**An advantage if you possess any of the following:
- Experience in creating training materials or using a Learning Management System
- Genuinely enjoy working in an international team and meeting different nationalities on a daily basis
- Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, German, French, etc.)
