**Key responsibilities**:

- Maintain and ensure proper operation of radiotherapy and ancillary equipments to administer radiation treatment prescribed by radiation oncologists, observing radiation safety measures and practice standards.
- Deliver safe and accurate radiation treatment to patients, complete treatment processes and coordinate patients scheduling.
- Provide explanation of procedural guidelines and counselling to facilitate and reassure patients of treatment.
- Monitor and ensure of patient's physical and psychological well-being during the entire course of treatment.
- Require to work with sealed radioactive materials, electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to assist with administration of radiation treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records, performs clerical duties, responsible for designated areas or procedures as required.
- Perform daily/weekly QA procedures on equipment according to Medical Dosimetrist and Medical Physicist instruction and manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure the optimal performance of these equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Medical Imaging/Radiation Science or any other Diploma/Degree in Radiography from recognized institute.
- Currently licensed to work in the field of Radiation Oncology in Singapore required by the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Department (RPNSD) and certified as a qualified Radiation Therapist.
- Full registration under Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Familiar with various treatments planning techniques setup and patient setup limitations.
- Familiar with the setup of IMRT/VMAT and SRS/T with IGRT.
- Experience with the procurement/use of patient immobilisation devices and mould room devices.
- Participate in radiotherapy machine QA such as linac, CTSim, and brachy machine QA, including the treatment plan QA (if necessary).
- Experience in interpreting criteria and perform CT simulation and treatment plans as defined by relevant treatment protocols.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety.
- Expertise in the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to simulate and setup patient according to the optimal external beam/brachytherapy treatment plans.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate the exchange of information with patients, family members, the radiation oncology treatment team as well as external entities.
- Has high level critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Works in collaboration with the Radiation Oncology treatment team.
- Has working knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices as well as current rules and regulations of the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Department (RPNSD), and other regulatory agencies.
