The Operational Excellence team within Grab Singapore is responsible for championing business process re-engineering, automation, data analytics as well as other value improvement solutions, in order to provide the efficiency leverage for our business to grow sustainably. We operate on a project-based nature, from generation of a business case for change, scoping of requirements and facilitation of As-Is understanding workshops, through to the development of To-Be processes, automation solutions and analytical dashboards, as well as the tracking of benefits realized. Additionally, the team also undertakes ad-hoc strategic and regional projects aimed at improving the top-/ bottom-line performance of Grab.

**Get to know the Role**:
This is an exciting opportunity within the wider Operations organization in Grab Singapore. As the Head/ Manager for Ops Excellence you will lead a team of performance improvement and project management specialists to drive business process re-engineering and innovation within Grab Singapore Operations, working closely various business teams incl. Mobility, Deliveries, Rentals, Financial. You will also be responsible for tracking and managing work delivery against Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) set for the team, as well as supporting initiatives to enhance the capabilities and competencies of your team members.

**The Day-to-Day Activities**:

- Lead and execute complex business improvement programs in support of all departments and functional areas under the Singapore organization.
- Identify, scope, and prioritize key workstreams within each project, and leverage continuous improvement and/or LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies to design pragmatic solutions for the business.
- Work closely with key project stakeholders incl. BU and Department Heads to drive cost optimization, design OKRs/ productivity metrics, as well as track effectiveness of implemented solutions and institutionalize governance best practices.
- Manage a team of high-performing and aspiring performance improvement specialists, engage them and inspire the mission of continually enhancing the team's value-added.
- Support the management of innovation-focused and other strategic projects, as required by senior management.

**The Must-Haves**:

- An Undergraduate Degree in Science, Engineering or Business disciplines
- Minimum 7-8 years of professional experience, including managing a combination of strategic analysis, operational improvement, process automation and data analytics projects
- Strong communication skills and excellent team player
- Self-starter and an engineer at heart, who is passionate about leveraging technology to help business operations drive change and improve growth.

**The Nice-to-Haves**

Familiarity with computer programming languages and experience working with software engineers in a technology-based environment will be very helpful, but not mandatory for you to excel in this role.
- Professional certification on project management (PMP/ PRINCE2), LEAN, Six-Sigma
- Experience using leading programming tools (e.g. JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS, cookies, middleware, and SQL)
- Familiarity with AWS Suites / Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud
