**What the role is**

SENIOR MANAGER / MANAGER, RAIL REGULATION

**What you will be working on**

The Rail Regulation Division is responsible for the regulation of rail operators’ licences, codes of practices and operational safety as well as monitoring the performance of rail operators in operating and maintaining Singapore’s Rapid Transit Systems (MRT & LRT).
You will be planning and conducting audits and inspections on rail operators’ maintenance of critical systems such as signalling, communication and control systems, mechanical & electrical services, rolling stocks, civil infrastructure and permanent way, and rail operators’ operations such as traffic operation, train operation and station operation. You will manage the review of the adequacy and effectiveness of the rail operators’ safety, maintenance and operational performance through the analysis of audit and inspection findings to determine the causes of nonconformities and follow up with rail operators to ensure that all nonconformities are mitigated satisfactorily.
You will conduct after-action reviews for rail incidents, and lead and conduct regulatory investigations on significant rail incidents. You will assess the efficacy of the corrective actions by the rail operators for rail incidents to prevent the reoccurrence of similar rail incidents.
You will be involved in rail emergency exercises conducted by LTA and the rail operators on scenario plannings, after-action reviews and assessments of the competency of the rail operators. You will also be involved in rail operations impact analysis for planned disruptions such as construction activities and unplanned disruptions.

**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience with 5 years in a managerial position
- Strong communication skills with good written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong project management and leadership skills with proven track records
- Familiar with international safety standards such as ISO 45001, relevant local railway and building regulations, codes and standards
- Proficiency in risk management, safety, emergency planning, maintenance methodology and operation planning
