Infrastructure Deployment Engineer

Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. The team is responsible for designing, building, and operating our unified global datacenters; managing the demand planning and capacity utilization of our unified infrastructure; and responsible for all the operations needed to run the physical infrastructure (including supply chain, hardware, power, security, and workflow teams). We focus on smart growth with an emphasis on automation, data driven engineering, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability.

The Builds Fulfillment team partners across multeiple Microsoft teamsto delivery the Critical Envronmnet service to Mcirosoft sites to support capacity growth for Microsoft services and customers. This is a global team consisting of a collaboraitve and engaging group of engineers that support one another in cross-training of technologies, platforms,and process. This team focuses on deep dive troubleshooting and delivering results for Microsoft's capacity needs.

- You’ll help implement high-performance solutions across teams while maintaining a quality checklist with help from other engineers. You’ll also monitor telemetry data and perform basic analyses under guidance to triangulate failures.
- You will respond to incidents by identifying the level of impact, troubleshooting basic issues, and deploying appropriate fixes. You’ll also develop an understanding of prescriptive guidance for security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- You will share information across disciplines within you team. You’ll also support your work with others by managing dependencies and actively seeking out essential information.
- You will improve the deployment and operations of systems, platforms, or features by actively seeking to develop an understanding of key learnings, insights, and best practices. You’ll do this by participating in design reviews, incident drills and debriefs, and regular meetings.

**Qualifications**:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:

- Management Information Systems (MIS), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)/Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), or other Engineering Certification.
- Experience in building, deploying, supporting, automating, securing, and maintaining server host and VM build.
- Experience with hands-on bare metal enterprise-class server system deployment, configuration and maintenance that includes periodic firmware & driver updates at scale, RAID & IPMI configurations and hardware troubleshooting.
- Any experience with Microsoft server & tooling platforms for multiple infrastructure services such as Windows Server 2022/2019, Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, PowerShell scripting, data protection technologies, service monitoring, incident alarming, compliance, and other services to aid in fulfilling operational monitoring, audit logging of events, compliance requirements, outages, or security-related issues is a plus.
- Any experience with HP hardware for set up and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Any background in patch management, setting up monitoring, 2FA and PowerShell is a plus.

These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience for transitioning manual operational processes to automation while leveraging DevOps principles.
- Ability to manage, prioritize and successfully execute multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a global team environment while helping bring projects to successful outcomes and delivering useful documentation artifacts.
- Ability to balance competing demands for resources and adapt to changing priorities.
