**The Role**
**Accounting Operations and Reporting**:
- Period-End Closing Process: Oversee the period-end closing process for MVH Asia banners, ensuring timely reviews of management accounts to ensure the timelessness and accuracy of the closing processes.
- Intercompany Allocations: Manage the regional office and MVH Asia intercompany cross-charge allocations.
- Balance Sheet Monitoring: Collaborate with the market accounting team and accounting services provider to monitor and resolve balance sheet discrepancies. Support for the balance sheet review process for MVH Asia with Global team.
- Statutory Audit Support and Collaboration: Provide prompt support to the ICTC team during statutory audit processes. Work with the MVH Asia Governance and Control team to support internal audit related matters.
- Assist in the integration of new acquisitions by aligning accounting and reporting policies with Mars Group Finance Manal.
- Compliance Oversight: Review accounting and reporting functions for MVH Asia banners, ensuring adherence to the Mars Internal Control Excellence Framework and Finance Manual.
- Accounting Process Enhancement: Identify process inefficiencies and explore opportunities for automation to enhance the overall financial systems landscape. Support ongoing accounting process improvements and automation initiatives.
**Other Responsibilities**:
- Actively participate in and support initiatives focused on process improvement, standardization, and system implementation.
- Foster collaboration with FP&A, Finance Controls & Governance, Oracle, third-party outsourcing partners, IT, and Hospital Operations departments to understand their needs and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

From this perspective, MVH is seeking an individual with the aptitude to undertake this task and not necessarily a proven Accounting Manager. Although this person will need to understand accounting, cash management, legal topics etc., one of their first tasks will be to recruit a team to support them in these aspects, as they in turn work to remove ‘bottlenecks’ in support of the country leader.
This person must be able to operate with humility and have a desire to build, whilst also able to take responsibility for driving outcomes.
Owing to the diverse nature of clinics and teams, the Accounting & Reporting Assistant Manager/Manager will like interacting with people, respectful of people’s backgrounds and be able to bring together a team. Solid, positive and action-oriented; this person will be a strategic thinker who is organized and able to prioritize tasks from strategic to operational and act as an effective bridge between corporate and regional business. MVH Asia is a high-performance organization where all senior managers are driven, hands-on, good project managers with intuition of good business decisions and solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimally 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and auditing. CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications are required.
- Prior experience in a Big Four firm will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, and technical skills.
- Adept to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a changing requirement.
- Deep knowledge of financial reporting standards, including IFRS and US GAAP. Strong understanding of IFRS3 Business Combination Reporting Standard.
- Experience with Oracle, Essbase, and OneStream is advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with third-party accounting service providers.
- A strong passion for and understanding of automation in finance processes.
