PURPOSE
- Govern the domain/country technology roadmaps
- Guide, motivate and direct the architecture team/community
- Manage stakeholders at multiple levels (delivery, delivery leads, business, country architects)
- Take a leadership role in determining the architecture, strategy, and roadmap
- Develop technology architectures and standards that enable the business strategy and future aspirations
- Drive Cloud and digital adoption
- Work with the various lines of business and delivery functions to help facilitate a smooth transition from the as-is to the to-be architecture landscape
- Play an instrumental role in driving the Group Technology shared services enablement journey
- Change the way people feel about insurance

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES
- This role will be the key leadership interface between delivery and all stakeholders requiring guidance and support from the Group Office
- Guide and support platform design & technical concepts through extracting business priorities and fulfilling business needs amongst senior business stakeholders
- Collaborate the with Digital and Technology stakeholders to ensure platforms are designed to securely support the business strategy
- Amplify Agile software delivery practices through design and execution efforts, leading and coaching delivery teams on projects
- Provide thought leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving regarding API and integration technology solutions
- Partner with stakeholders across Group Data, Group Technology, and Group and Country senior decision makers to cultivate and appreciation of an API led digital strategy
- Support coordinated design, development and deployment plans with business functions and security solutions delivery teams
- Drive the operationalization of integration capabilities and best practices consistent with company vision and business goals
- Embed emerging technologies and techniques to optimize business benefit and improve operational efficiency
- Create and maintain the API strategy, technology standards and roadmap
- Create and publish reference architectures, patterns and best practices for the development, implementation, and integration of our internal and external APIs
- Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements to ensure alignment between business expectations and current or future Group Technology capability
- Within the agreed enterprise architecture, design and define technology solutions to support and deliver the business objectives
- Create and maintain the software context and model diagrams that show the end to end system architecture and integration
- Design and document the architecture for the non-functional requirements of the end to end system encompassing security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance.
- Drive adoption of architecture and software development practices across the various group and business teams
- Assess emerging technologies, stay abreast of industry trends, and give advice on investments prices versus performance
- Engage business leaders across the region and synthesize critical gaps, current technology environment and anticipate business and user challenges to inform architecture design.
- Collaborate with the various network teams across business lines promoting API and integration standards adoption
- Work closely with the regional business units to drive the API and integration architecture roadmap

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 10 years' working experience in Financial Services, eCommerce, Insurtech, Fintech, Start-ups while not mandatory, will be advantageous
- Expertise in digital best practices and its applicability to lifestyle and financial services
- Excellent understanding of platform best practices and its applicability to insurance/financial services
