**Job Description**:
This position will support the education initiatives related to the Clinical Performance Centre in the Office of Education to deliver high quality and consistency in the programme of learning. This includes a variety of functions including but not limited to the following: -- Develop, plan, and implement clinical skills experiences in accordance with best practices in simulation education, and in alignment with curricular goals.
- Coordinate the setting up, running and taking down of clinical and procedural skills sessions.
- Facilitate the adult learning process that creates safe non-threatening climate which supports learning across the health care system.
- Adjust content and teaching strategies appropriate for the learners’ needs.
- Participate in assessment of student learning activities to maximize the potential for students to learn what is necessary to meet prescribed outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and development of initiatives for the integration of clinical and procedural skills across the curriculum.
- Collaborate with the Education leads to construct effective learning materials according to the organisation’s delivery methodology.
- Conduct periodic review of training materials to ensure quality of the materials, including accuracy and suitability of the delivery approaches.
- Design measures of programme effectiveness and monitor progress of learning programmes.
- Work collaboratively with the Simulation Technologist to ensure the teaching spaces and procedural skills resources/task trainers are properly maintained and operated.
- Collaborate with and support activities of the Office of Education Faculty.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or hold a baccalaureate with a major in nursing with at least 4 to 6 years of knowledge, skills and expertise in the relevant field.
- Master’s Degree in education, simulation, healthcare or related disciplines with at least 2 years of relevant experience in clinical education will be advantageous.
- Prior experience in simulation-based learning techniques and/or additional certification to instruct Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support would be advantageous.
- Competent in developing and constructing learning materials for tertiary education.
- Possess strong writing and critical thinking skills, as well as good communications and presentation skills.
- A team player who is able to prioritise, multi-task and work collaboratively in a diverse workforce.
