**Job Purpose**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Research Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Portfolio Research Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research and analysis to support portfolio management decisions and strategic planning within the pharmaceutical industry. This role requires a strong understanding of drug development, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, as well as exceptional analytical skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Market Research & Recommendations**
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic areas, and market trends to support portfolio management decisions.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on research findings to support portfolio optimization and business growth initiatives.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes, market access issues, and healthcare trends impacting the pharmaceutical industry.

**Portfolio Analysis**

**Competitor Analysis**
- Monitor and assess competitor activities, including pipeline developments, clinical trial updates, and commercial strategies.

**Data Management**
- Develop and maintain comprehensive databases and reports to track portfolio performance and market dynamics.

**Reporting**
- Support the development of presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and senior management.

**Inter-Team Collaboration**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for portfolio planning and decision-making processes.

**Qualifications**
- At least a bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, MBA, or PhD) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical research, market analysis, or portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of drug development processes, clinical trial methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex datasets and synthesizing information to derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau).
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry databases is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
