**What's the Role**

We are looking for a **Manager, Government Relations** reporting into the Head of Government Relations. This is an individual contributor role, to be** **based in Singapore.

**Key Accountabilities (but are not limited to)**:
**Strategy and Advocacy**
- Develop and execute the Government Affairs strategies and programs in support of business and public policy agenda in Singapore and across APAC.

**Engagement**
- Primary point of contact to manage relationships with government officials, industry stakeholders, trade associations, in Singapore.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to deepen relationships with key government stakeholders across the APAC region.
- Facilitate and support senior executive engagement with external public sector/industry stakeholders and participation at industry events as required.
- Willing to travel up to 10% (approximately 3 trips a year), depending on the engagement projects where required

**Policy and Analysis***
- Partner closely with management teams, business units and corporate functions in identifying key public policy developments that affect the company.
- Monitor and analyze political and legislative developments in priority countries and assess the possible impact and opportunities for ASM.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as relevant advocacy material, including briefings and position papers for internal and external communications.

**What Will Make You Successful?**
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations or other social science areas
- Min 8 years of relevant experience in public or government affairs in a listed company or government agency
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) as the role requires the incumbent to interface with various Government Agencies in Taiwan and China as well as counterparts based in our ASM Taiwan and China offices
- Excellent communication skills are critical to this position
- Adaptable, motivated, and able to take initiative with and work independently, with a strong interest in geopolitics and technology
