Cad Draftman

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Coordinate with a team of CAD designers and engineers to develop and design mechanical components and complex assemblies based on product concept, prototyping and customers specification.
- To balance the workloads for CAD team members and coordinate with Project Manager for all project design tasks.
- To complete the products design and drawing according to the given schedule as provided by the project team.
- Able to work independently on various projects for equipment design, piping design, plant engineering and space management.
- To carry out design calculation, create designs / drawing documentation which meet customer requirements and specifications and the relevant standards and regulations.
- To modify and re-design of existing systems and onsite engineering piping including update of construction / production drawings, parts lists and documentation.
- Familiar with 2D & 3D drafting using CAD 2D/3D software (Autodesk Inventor), and change management of CAD components and libraries.
- To interface and coordinate with internal project, QA &QC and purchasing team and external sub-contractors regarding vendor components specification and data sheet for design purposes, machining works design and drawings which outsource to vendors, to follow up and ensure machining outputs are in accordance to drawings provided.
- To incorporate design optimizations for all design and drawing that taking into consideration of customer specifications, availability of alternative parts and lead time, space consideration, and service and maintenance concerns.
- To comply with software development workflow process and documentation & maintain proper design documentation according to company and project specific standards.
- To prepare project design documents for technical and project manager approval and release to production for in house manufaturing, assembly and engineering works.
- To prepare and compile all the design drawing documentation and liasie with project manager/project engineer to ensure equipment drawings and necessary submittals to customer are in placed.
- To prepare design presentation and decision documents for various committees if required.
- Must be able to meet the project deliverable and schedule as laid down by management.
- Excellent knowledge of national and international standards and regulations (e.g. Semi, AD2000, EU, PED, ATEX).

**REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in the related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD/ 3D Software
- Ability to communicate and interact with people at all level and to work cross functionally
- Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A self motivated team player who is independent, self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to travel outstation
