**Job Summary**: In the Global Third Party Compliance Manager role, you will have responsibility for managing due diligence reviews of third parties engaged by the Company in connection with the sale and distribution of its products, which is accomplished through the use of the Company’s due diligence database and in collaboration with Team Members across the Company.
You will coordinate and perform tasks related to the maintenance and improvement of the due diligence platform, process, and procedures, and work closely to support Team Members with inquiries about due diligence. Your primary partnership will be with the Asia Pacific region, with a particularly focus on Japan. This position may be remote or based at Zimmer Biomet’s locations. The Compliance Manager will report to the Associate Director, Global Third Party Compliance.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**: - Provide guidance to, and decide the outcome of, due diligence of third parties in the Asia Pacific region.
- Lead interactions with Team Members to execute the due diligence process, including providing answers to questions, advice, and periodic training.
- Review due diligence reports for prospective third-party partners.
- Gather information from Team Members, prospective partners, and gatekeeper functions to facilitate the due diligence review.
- Engage with external vendors providing support to the Global Due Diligence program, as needed.
- Design and execute plans to mitigate red flags identified during the due diligence process, and document outcome of the due diligence process in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Partner with key gatekeepers to ensure post-approval remediation or monitoring steps are undertaken as appropriate.
- Lead additional due diligence projects, as needed. Collaborate with other Compliance Team Members to identify possible enhancements to Zimmer Biomet’s due diligence process.
**Expected Areas of Competence**: - Anti-corruption due diligence process and standards for multi-national corporations
- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills, required
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a high degree of ethics, integrity, and professionalism
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and work as part of a team, able to build relationships across and outside the department
- Highly motivated, self-starter willing to meet strict deadlines and time constraints
- Advanced English, and Japanese language fluency, required Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
**Education/Experience Requirements**: - Bachelor’s Degree (or non-US equivalent), required; formal studies in business or law, preferred
- Advanced Degree, preferred
- A minimum of 6-8 years of compliance, legal, financial, or analytical experience, or 2-4 years of experience with an advanced degree, required
- Compliance

- Medical Device industry experience, a plus
