**Job Scope**:

- **Design and Development**:Create and develop detailed designs, technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for products or systems.
Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and other engineering tools to model designs.
Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulations.
- **Project Management**:Collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Plan and manage the engineering aspects of design projects from concept to completion.
Estimate project costs, material requirements, and timelines.
- **Testing and Prototyping**:Build and test prototypes to evaluate the design’s performance, durability, and reliability.
Modify designs based on test results to optimize functionality and efficiency.
Work with testing teams to ensure that designs meet safety and performance standards.
- **Collaboration**:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, and other engineering departments.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support.
- **Documentation**:Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications for the production team.
Maintain records of design revisions and project changes.
- **Problem-Solving**:Identify design-related issues and troubleshoot solutions during the production and implementation phases.
Propose innovative ideas to improve design efficiency and product quality.
- **Quality Assurance**:Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and client expectations.
Review product safety, environmental impact, and compliance with local and international regulations.

**Requirements for a Design Engineer**:

- **Education and Qualifications**:Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).
Professional certifications in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) are often required.
Relevant industry-specific certifications may be needed (e.g., Professional Engineer license).
- **Technical Skills**:Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
Analytical and mathematical skills for accurate designs.
- **Experience**:Prior experience in a design engineering role is usually required (typically 2-5 years).
Experience in prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
Project management experience is a plus.
- **Problem-Solving Ability**:Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve design and engineering challenges.
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
- **Communication Skills**:Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
