**About this role**
Arup’s Finance & Economics (F&E) team provides commercial and economic advice to clients, informed by the firm’s technical core, to facilitate more informed investment decisions. This role will provide additional experienced execution and BD capability within the F&E business in Singapore focused on financial advisory services across a range of infrastructure subsectors. The role is market facing and will involve building Arup’s profile, winning and delivering work using teams primarily across the AUS region, while seeking to collaborate with specialists in EA region for transactions in wider South East Asia.
**What will I do?**
- Identify, pursue, secure and deliver financial advisory projects across South East Asia. Provide technical expertise in all aspects of financial and commercial assessments of projects based on key principles of quality, innovation and integration.
- Build internal network with various businesses to ensure mobilization of wider Arup expertise across planning, design, engineering, finance and research sectors to meet specific client needs.
- Seek innovative solutions and embrace innovative methods to add value to clients, the environment and society. Cross sell wider planning & advisory services and identify/develop wider downstream opportunities for Arup via ‘trusted advisor’ relationships.
- Support Arup leaders across SE Asia to identify talent, build capacity, develop skills and share experience. Contribute to incremental growth of the F&E team and contribute to wider growth of Arup’s Advisory business.
- Identify and focus on a number of Key Accounts as set out in the Advisory strategy to (a) further develop key relationships and (b) focus on a select number of new ones with serial investors and/or project sponsors.
**What will I bring?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar with a minimum of 10 years of experience with a professional services or consulting business.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions / professional bodies (e.g. CPA, ICAEW, CFA, etc.)
- Pre-existing relationships with tier 1 Singapore-based infrastructure investors and/or regional multi-lateral agencies.
- Understanding of investor decision making processes and metrics, including mechanisms to mitigate risks to Arup.
- Demonstrated success in leading the execution of financial advisory mandates, and preparing compelling pitches to clients.
- Skills in mentoring, coaching and supporting the technical development of junior team members.
