JR32606 SIG AMDC Test Engineering Manager

**Position Description**:
**Manage the AMDC Test and Process Engineering Teams for R&D, Prototype, and NPI Circuit Board Assembly Operations**

**Objectives**:

- Develop frameworks for monitoring and improving Engineering performance to plan
- Provide value-added engineering solutions and drive continuous improvement in key projects for Test yield and Manufacturing process
- Provide support in product test proliferation and excursion management activities
- Develop frameworks for monitoring and improving Engineering performance to plan
- Provide value-added engineering solutions to meet cycle time improvement, cost reduction and quality performance goals
- Drive continuous improvement projects in Test processes to improve operational efficiency and productivity

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead by example. Remain visible and accessible to partners, team members, and factory. Remain accessible within US time zones as needed. Practice the core values.
- Awareness of Malyasian Labor Law, harassment, discrimination law, and any other rights and responsibilities for those within the organizational control as directed by Micron HR.
- Provide guidance, control, and direction for all AMDC Test activities.
- Execute the responsibilities of the Micron manager position, including payroll, time approvals, performance reviews, planning and scheduling, individual training plans, mentoring others, interviews and required documentation.
- Drive continuous and effective communication within team, partner network, and factory peers regarding individual site issues (equipment, people). No surprises.
- Drive for improvement. Lead, participate, and encourage quality teams as required. Seek new areas for continuous improvement.
- Develop employees. Set and communicate clear expectations for long and short term goals.
- Assist with design and implementation of automation controls for reporting and maintaining equipment (equipment status, alarms/alerts, service and repair, equipment state for production readiness).
- Communicate with SIG Factory field service teams, engineering, production, RMA, etc. as needed to maintain schedules and priorities at a given site.
- Sets objectives for the performance of work unit(s), function(s), or sub-function(s) at the Micron AMDC and potentially CM sites.
- Establish operational objectives and plans, manage projects, and ensure execution of operational plans and objectives.
- Determines efficient utilization of available resources to achieve end results.
- Make decisions that directly impact the achievement of work unit(s), function(s), and sub-function(s) objectives.
- Maintain operational impact and focus on strategic impact (including global reach).
- Assumes responsibility for budgeting and headcount.
- Provides career development responsibilities for direct reports.
- May set operational objectives and plans.
- Applies broad knowledge to solve problems and obtain results.
- Adapts communication style to engage and motivate work units.
- Uses negotiation and persuasion skills to influence decisions of peers and management.
- Uses communication skills to resolve sensitive or difficult issues.

**Required Experience**:

- 2+ years Board and/or System Level Manufacturing experience
- 2+ years Manager or Supervisor experience desirable
- PC/software experience with a variety of programs. Preferably, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), Linux, Python

**Required Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other related background required.
