**Roles and Responsibilities**

1. Execute the Golf Course Superintendent’s turf grass maintenance programmes for the greens, tee boxes, fairways, rough sand bunkers. To ensure:

- Proper turf establishment, planting, cultivating and maintenance practices of turf grass used on golf course.
- Proper use of fertilizers, chemicals and soil amendment on golf course.
- Proper pest and disease diagnosis and control methods.
- Proper maintenance and control of watering practices and irrigation systems.
- Proper up keep and repair of drainage systems.
- Proper up keep, maintenance, repair and replace of turf machinery and equipment.
- Proper up keeping of landscaped areas, planting, cultivating and pruning of ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, ground covers.
- Staff perform their given tasks as per the maintenance programme scheduled by the Golf Course Superintendent.

2. Directs proper up-keeping of associated facilities of the golf course such as bridges, cart path and ponds.

3. Directs proper maintenance, repair and replacement of golf course accessories such as ball washer, pin cup, pin flag, hazard stakes, distant markers, tee markers and signage.

4. Keep appropriate records on the golf course maintenance.

5. Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in preparing the budget and reports.

6. Procures and maintains an inventory of golf course materials such as chemical, fertilizer, soil amendment, fuel, golf course accessories, machinery parts, irrigation parts and other supplies.

7. Ensures the work safety of staff in golf course maintenance department.

8. Conducts training and discharge of department employees.

9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent and the Management Committee.

**Job Requirements**
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Thorough knowledge of golf course construction, turf establishment and maintenance practice.
- Planting and cultivating of turf grass.
- Planting, cultivating and pruning of ornamental plants.
- Characteristic and proper use of fertilizers and soil conditioners.
- Pest and disease diagnostic and control.
- Drainage system.
- Watering system.
- Turf grass maintenance and cultural practice equipment and machinery.
- Construction and maintenance of operation center.
- Ability to train, motivate and efficiently direct and deploy tasks.
- Possess initiative.
- Possess good analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Good knowledge of golf course machinery operation.
- Exemplify good work conduct to crew member.
- Must possess integrity and be seen as an inspiration by the staff.
