Equity Derivatives Trade Support

As an Equity Derivatives Trade Support Associate within Equity Derivatives Middle Office, you will be responsible for supporting the traders from an operational perspective and maintaining stringent controls in daily trading activities and reconciliations. You will be part of a team who works in close collaboration with trading, sales, client servicing team, business managers, product control team, legal, compliance, settlements and control teams.

**Job responsibilities**
- Trade capture of equity derivatives transactions including but not limited to Listed Futures and Options, Equity Swaps, ETFs, ADRs/GDRs, FX, Vanilla and Exotics OTC Products, Structures Notes, Warrants, Certificates including New Issuances, Increase / Unwinds and Corporate Action adjustment
- Ensure all transactions are captured timely and accurately in the Risk Management Systems
- Complete intraday / end-of-day processes including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately
- Work closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a ‘one team approach’
- Provide clear and concise communication with all support teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of queries
- Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed-off on a timely basis
- Ensure regulatory obligations are fulfilled and participate to changes with regulation
- Collaborate with Sales, Trading and Business Management for any new business opportunities and help define controls and process
- Participate and contribute in various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture
- Build an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Operations space supporting in a relevant role relating to Equity Derivatives within the banking industry
- Strong proficiency with MS Office and the ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily.
- Strong Product knowledge on Equity Derivative Products, in particular - Equity Swaps, Options, Futures, Custom Basket, ETFs
- Knowledge of the front to back Operations process (including the key elements such as confirmations, settlements, regulatory reporting) and facilitate issue resolution across teams
- Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (i.e. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral etc.) and recognize the impact of the actions of the Trade support team on these areas
- Problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude; solid business acumen; strong level of professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment to ensure tasks are dealt with appropriately within timely manner; maintaining a high level of client service, while at all times adhering to controls and policies of the business.
- Great team player able to work in a pressurized and evolving environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily
- Knowledge of VBA / SQL and experience with digital tools such as Xceptor, Alteryx, Tableau, Robotics, etc. and language skills such as Mandarin would be an asset
