The Product Software team at Equinix builds next-generation software products and architecture for our Equinix software platform and services offerings. We are looking for engineers responsible for developing consistent APIs with microservices. Your primary responsibility will be to develop the platform, and to collaborate with product owner and. Thus, a commitment to problem solving, good design, and product quality is essential. You will work closely with engineers, architects and product managers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand the WHY and enrich the specification to create a solution which delights customers
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Ensure excellent code quality, and automation.
- Solve high severity production issues on priority

**Skills**:

- Proficient in Java or any other programming language with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design and architectural patterns, RESTful interfaces
- Ability to develop API Endpoints with security and best practices in mind
- Skill for writing clean, reusable code
- Knowledge of concurrency and design patterns
- Experience with databases, SQL syntax and queries- Implementing unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle
- Familiarity with continuous integration- Thoughtful about UI/UX and skilled at communicating those thoughts in a positive, collaborative way
- A passion for collaboration, and a desire to learn, teach, and grow beyond the current edges of your skills

What you have
- 7+ years of experience in building apps, preferably on Java - Spring stack
- Understanding of design patterns, algorithms and data structures
- Articulation of a solution and its benefits / shortcoming with alternatives
- Capability to learn something new everyday
- Ability to transition between programming languages and tool sets
- Ability to share your ideas
