Storekeeper

The Storekeeper will exhibit a high standard of administrative accuracy and control over the movement of stock in and out of the stores. Specifically he will ensure all records are accurate, transparent and up to date and that they reflect the actual situation with regard to stock

movements.

The Storekeeper is authorised to maintain accurate stock records and ensure availability of spares. He is responsible for the output and competence of the Assistant Storekeeper.

Assistant Storekeeper, visitors, vendor technicians, and sub contractors.

**1. Establish and Maintain Effective Working Relationships**

I. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team colleagues and visitors to the working environment.

II. Establish and maintain effective communications with company representatives and client

III. Carry out accurate and effective handovers

IV. Ensure Assistant or Trainee storekeeper is trained and assessed in timely fashion

V. Perform appraisals and competence development in positive and helpful manner

**2. Control and maintain stock levels effectively**

I. Maintaining accurate and transparent records using computerized store control system stock control system

II. Receive stock and check off accurately against manifests and purchase orders/Requisitions

III. Carry out accurate and regular stock audits

IV. Maintain stock minimum / maximum levels and keep equipment and materials in stock ready for immediate issue

V. Liaise with all departments to ensure effective and efficient provision of equipment and materials

VI. Ensure equipment and materials are clearly and correctly identified and stalled in correct locations

VII. Ensure correct certification of equipment and materials example PSVs

VIII. Perform Continuous appraisals of equipment and materials requirements through liaison with Heads of Departments and Operations Office.

**3. Maintain stock security and safety**

I. Maintain security of equipment storage areas and controlled access to storage areas and stock

II. Control access to computer systems and records financial information, manifests bill of lading etc

III. Maintain all equipment and stock storage areas in clean and tidy condition preventing accumulation of debris

IV. Control issue of equipment from equipment storage areas

**4. Monitor and maintained pollution control measures**

I. Unplanned discharges to the environment are identified, halted where possible, and reported according to policy, procedure and regulation

II. Relevant PPE is issued to deal with unplanned discharges using company procedures

III. Equipment, waste or other materials for disposal are dealt with according to the correct procedure

IV. Environmental protection and pollution control are enforced effectively with colleagues, subordinates and subcontractors

**5 Emergency response**

I. Carryout emergency response role

II. Show competence during drills and exercises.

**Units of competence**

**Pre hire qualifications and experience**
- 3 years experience in the marine or petroleum industry with FPSO experience preferred
- Experienced with PC- based materials inventory control systems AMOS preferred
- Through understanding of materials, purchasing and stock management procedures
- Qualified to trade or technician level in a technical discipline
- 3-5 five years in marine or petroleum industry in technical discipline
- Medically fit to offshore international standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
