We are looking for driven individuals to be part of HSA’s Blood Resources Division
- Blood bank team. where you will play a key role in securing the nations’ blood supply. In this front-facing role, the individual will perform executive functions in a dynamic and close-knit team.
**Responsibilities:
- Those with limited exposure to Phlebotomy will assist with the following blood collection support processes while undergoing training.
- Assist phlebotomist in Whole Blood ( _collection of blood in its complete form, not separated into its various components _) pre and post donation procedure which includes blood bag preparation, bandaging and stripping of blood bags
- Support Apheresis ( _an automated process where plasma, platelets or red cells in the blood drawn is separated and remaining components are returned to donor during the donation process _) pre & post donation which includes registering donors and test tubes preparation
- Conduct capping which includes taking blood for haemoglobin test, explaining to donor on deferral if required, checking, sorting blood bags and sample tubes before passing it to the laboratory
**Operational Admin Support**
- Support key executive duties, ensuring smooth operations at blood collection centres
- Assist in preparation of key statistic reports and management updates
- Assist in store management and maintenance of equipment and consumables
- Records Management of vendors’/contractors’ performance
- Support Purchasing and Procurement activities of collection centres
- Contribute to Improvement and Transformation projects on a team/Division level

**Requirements**:
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare, community care services, biomedical/social sciences, hospitality/tourism management or equivalent, with 2 years relevant work experience as an executive in the healthcare setting
- Experienced professionals exploring a mid-career switch are welcomed
- Our Blood Professional Executives will be rostered to support morning, afternoon and weekend shifts, across a 5-day work week
- Team members are not required to perform night shifts
Our blood banks operate _6 days a week _*, _between 9am - 8pm _*
