**Responsibilities**: - Ouster is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to help us ensure that components supplied to Ouster meet Stringent Quality Standards, including Automotive. The Ouster platform contains a mix of precision Electronic, Mechanical and Optical components. You will be based in Asia, working with our Asia-based suppliers to establish and maintain controls that manage processes effectively and efficiently. Controls include standard statistical techniques, methodologies and metrology e.g. PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, Dimensional layout, SPC, Capability (CpK/PpK), Gage R&R, Gage instructions etc. You will drive continuous improvement in the quality of components supplied to Ouster as measured by key Quality metrics such as lot acceptance rates etc. Rapidly and effectively work with suppliers to 4manage, contain any quality excursions, and verify corrective actions. Periodically visit/audit customer sites and verify that they are following their documented Quality Plan. Help to drive and maintain APQP and PPAP processes to all suppliers. Assist suppliers with Ouster Customer Quality audits of their facilities. May be required to perform other functions at the direction of the Quality Director **Skills/Training**: - BS Engineering with 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Role or Quality Assurance Role is a requirement. - Any of Lean Six-sigma Black Belt, CQE etc. are highly desirable - Experience in Automotive quality with a significant Automotive supplier is a definite plus - Problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, and communications skills - Working knowledge of GD&T is a plus - Working knowledge of APQP and PPAP is a plus - Working knowledge of how to read and evaluate validation & dimensional reports - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Mini Tab, Sigma-XL etc. - We acknowledge the confidence gap at Ouster.
